My first robot! Naturally, it is a robot with the sole purpose of fighting. This is a robot my team (of 4) and I designed and built over the course of a month. The objective of the bot is to push an opposing robot out of a circular arena (similar in style to sumo-wrestling). We used AutoCAD to design all the mechanical aspects, and programmed an Arduino using C++ to control its combat behavior. As for the circuitry, we wired light sensors to detect the edge of an arena and an ultrasonic sensor to detect the opponent.
A mobile app prototype developed at ECOding Hacks (a hackathon centered around the environment); the app features a carbon footprint monitor that compares a calculated score against friends and community members, to encourage friendly competition while becoming more environmentally conscious. I designed the monitor, local pulse, and marketplace screens.
